I'm New
You are most welcome to join us here at Greenford Baptist Church. Here are a few things that you might be wondering.
What do we believe?
Can I just turn up to attend the Sunday service?
Yes! Our Sunday services are open to all; you will be welcomed by our lovely welcoming team.
Our doors are open from 10 am, and the service starts at 10:30 am and usually finishes before 12pm. For more information visit Sunday Services.
What can I expect on Sunday morning?
We sing worship songs, talk to God in prayer and read from the Bible. There is usually a talk/sermon as well.
We believe that, above everything else, we should always keep our ears open to what God wants to say and do through us.
Our church is multi-ethnic, so you will find individuals from many ethnic backgrounds as part of our church. We conduct our service in English, but do include songs in various languages in our Sunday worship.
Who are the ministers?
We currently have two ministers Pastor Warren Mcneil and Pastor Satyajit Deodhar who work alongside our Staff Members and Leadership Team.
Can I join a house group or a bible study group?
Yes, you certainly can, but before that, we would encourage you to come along to our church services to meet more people and choose a group which will make you more comfortable while participating in the house group.
You can always get in touch with us to talk more about this.
How can I know more about the Christian faith?
Learning about God and His great love for each one of us can be seen as a journey. If you are on this journey and need help, we would love to help you understand the Biblical truth. The first step to knowing more is reading the Bible, and we strongly recommend reading the Gospels (Matthew, Mark, Luke and John). There are many Bible apps available on the internet.
We would also be happy to meet with you and help you grow in Lord Jesus Christ.
How can I become a member of the church?
To become a church member, we recommend you start attending the Sunday Service. You can also get in touch with our ministers, who will help you understand the process and will be happy to guide you further.
Can I help out in church?
We encourage every church family member to actively get involved in various church activities. As a church family, we always need more helping hands to serve our God. There are multiple areas where you can help us.
Please talk to our ministers or the leadership team to learn more about the opportunities to serve and help out in our church.
What activities do you have for children?
At the same time as the Sunday morning church meeting (except the third Sunday of each month), we have a Sunday club for all the children aged between 5 to 11, where they are taught about having faith in Jesus, with Bible stories and through games, crafts and other fun activities.
We have a team of Sunday club teachers who take turns leading the Sunday club. Each Sunday club session is led by two teachers. Every teacher in the Sunday club team has their DBS check done by the church.
I'm a teenager, what's there for me?
For teenagers, we have a teen fellowship, called ASK, which runs at the same time as the Sunday morning church meeting. It is a space where teenagers can understand more about God, faith and the Bible and ask their questions. Our youth leaders are there to help and guide you in your walk with the Lord.
We also encourage teens to participate in church activities according to their interests.
If you wish to know more about this, please get in touch.
I have recently moved to this area. Can I meet the minister before attending the Sunday service?
Yes, our minister(s) will be glad to meet with you. But please make a prior appointment with them as they might not be able to meet with you without an appointment via our contact page.
Do you live stream the Sunday service?
Yes, we do live stream our Sunday service. Please check our previous services by visiting our YouTube channel.
How can I keep in touch with all the activities happening at the church?
We have various means to communicate our activities; you can always follow us on the following social media.
You can also subscribe to our newsletter. Click here to join our weekly newsletter.
I want to attend the Sunday service in person, but I don’t want to be seen on live streaming online…is that possible?
We have a ‘no-camera zone’ for anyone who does not want to be seen in our live streaming. Please enquire with our media team on Sunday morning, and they will guide you further.
Will there be someone who can pray for me?
Yes, we will be glad to pray for you. If you join us on Sunday Morning, you will have various leaders willing to pray for you. During weekdays, you can contact our staff team.
You can also send in your prayer request here.
